Questions:

1. When did you start your twitter account?

February 7, 2011

2. What was your biggest obstacle in twitter?

Trying to figure out what to “tweet” about. I had no real help with the account, so I had to learn everything on my own by watching other accounts, trying this or that, and figuring out what worked and what caught people’s attention.

3. How often do you tweet? Do you have a schedule?

No schedule. I start around 7:30 a.m. central/standard time, and tweet throughout my whole day. I am also the Logistics Clerk for my company, so my time with Social Media works around my duties of shipping. Continue reading

Bridget MahovlicQuestions:

1. When did you start your twitter account?

May 18, 2010.

You mean I actually have to do some research for this interview? *Rifles through dusty records* The account was created by someone within the company last May, but I took over in early November.

2. What was your biggest obstacle in twitter?

Overcoming the initial feelings of intimidation. As I said, someone else within Therm-All started our account back in May but hadn’t tweeted much. It was my job to come in and save the day. Have I saved the day? Not yet. Have I tried? Heck yeah. Continue reading

Questions:

1. When did you start your twitter account?

December 11, 2008.

That fall is when I first heard about something called Social Media. I first heard of Linkedin, then came Twitter. I spent some time trying to figure out what all the hubbub was all about. It looked like a great place for me to be able to meet new people and contacts for my business. I am always looking for new ways to market my business.

2. What was your biggest obstacle in twitter?

The biggest challenge was trying to understand what it was and what I was supposed to do. It appeared, at first, to be a place where people were just posting back and forth about their day and what they were doing. It has become a LOT bigger than that today. I have met a lot of very nice and interesting people on here and have also made several good contacts for my business! Continue reading

Questions:

1. When did you start your twitter account?

Saturday, July 18, 2009.

2. What was your biggest obstacle in twitter?

Choosing whom to follow was a challenge, at first. As a business, you think you want to follow and be followed by people that may need your services or products, but twitter will quickly teach you that no one is here to be sold to. Twitter is truly about interacting, connecting, and, eventually, word-of-mouth exposure will follow. You must establish relationships first, tweet interesting or funny content, and be willing to push forward another’s agenda in kind. Over time, your stream grows and evolves into a great mix of friends and mentors and your agenda morphs along with it. Continue reading

Wendy J LaPlacaQuestions:

1. When did you start your twitter account?

We sent our very first tweet on December 8, 2010, at 10:55 a.m. It read:

120 Years of Going Beyond the Expected, all morning trying to figure out what to Tweet.

It really did take me all morning to figure out what to tweet. I was very intimidated.

2. What was your biggest obstacle in twitter?

Explaining what Twitter and further social media is and why we should use it to Upper Management. They have actually been very supportive. Continue reading
